37 Weeks Pregnant
The time has come for the arrival of your baby. The journey is heading towards the 37th week of your pregnancy. At this stage of pregnancy to-be mothers always thinks about their baby. Now your baby is grown as big as romaine lettuce.

Symptoms – 37 weeks pregnant
You will feel a contraction in your abdominal and your abdomen tighten. Thus pain arises and if the pain is severe then consult your doctor.
Swollen feet and ankles
There could be a slight swelling in your feet and ankles and it is likely to be more if you are pregnant with twins. Swelling reduces as soon as you deliver. If the swelling is more, then you should consult your doctor because the problem could be big.
They are very common in this week of the journey. But try to sleep and relax because both, you and the baby need rest.
It could be seen during this stage because while you are heading towards your 37th week of pregnancy your cervix is extra sensitive. If the bleeding is more then it could arise some problem so consult immediately with your doctor.
It shows that the delivery is not far. You will even feel some new aches and pain in your belly.
They will appear on your belly. So keep body oil with you and put it on your belly as much as you can.
This problem occurs because the baby is grown up and disturbing your digestion power. Consult your doctor, have antacid tablets and try to avoid spicy, oily, citrus & vinegary foods.
Lower back pain
It will be very frequent.
Sometimes you may have all day long headaches.
If this happens then it is a final call for your delivery. Hence, keep your doctor updated about this symptom.
Ultrasound – 37 weeks pregnant
At this stage of pregnancy, your baby develops new skills for living in this world. You could see your baby practising exhaling, inhaling, blinking, gripping & sucking. Even at this term doctors check for position and all the movement of your baby for better prediction of labour pain. The baby is well developed now in the womb and can come anytime.
Diet to follow
At this term of pregnancy, it is very important for to-be mother to stay happy and healthy. Eating well and healthy makes everything happy. The proper maintenance of diet and health is a very crucial factor for the well-being of baby and mother. Eating right will make the delivery go with ease.
- Have dairy products like milk, cheese, curd as they are enriched in calcium which will help in making the bones strong of the mother as well baby.
- Say a big no to junk foods, because it may cause infection in your belly and even create a problem for the baby.
- Eat plenty of vitamin C like strawberries, Indian gooseberry, oranges, and mango which will help in the growth of the baby.
- Add dry fruits to your daily food chart.
- Drink lots of fluid as it helps in flushing out toxins from the body and even helps in relieving in ache.
- Eat foods which are enriching in iron because they help in transporting oxygen to the baby.
- Add fresh vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, green beans, and cabbage.
- Focus more on fibre products.
- Say no to caffeine products as they could harm your baby and can create a problem during delivery.
- Focus more on healthy foods for the better development of your baby.
