Ingredients for Alu Methi Paratha recipe

To make the Alu Methi Paratha

  • 2 cup wheat flour
  • 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup chopped methi leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon carom seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon green chilli paste
  • 1/2 cup oil

To serve

Preparation Of Alu Methi Paratha recipe

To make the Alu Methi Paratha

  • In a mixing bowl add all above ingredients except oil.
  • Make the dough by adding required water. Knead like paratha dough.
  • Make small sized balls and roll it in an oval shape.
  • Then cook from both the sides on tawa by adding 1 teaspoon oil.
  • Serve hot with masala curd.

Recipe notes


  • Add just the required water to make the dough. This is because the dough tends to become loose with time as the veggies has a tendency to lose water when mixed with salt.
