Ingredients for Beetroot Halwa recipe

To make the Beetroot Halwa

  • 1 kg beetroot
  • 1&1/2 cup sugar
  • 500 grams mava
  • 500 ml. Milk
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped cashew, almond, pista
  • 2 tablespoon ghee

Preparation Of Beetroot Halwa recipe

To make the Beetroot Halwa

  • Wash the beetroot and remove the skin and grate it.
  • In a pan add ghee and grated beetroot.
  • Cook for 5 minutes. Stir continuously, then add milk and sugar.
  • Cook till the mixture becomes lumpy and absorbs all moisture.
  • Then add mava, cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Add half of the chopped dry fruits and mix well.
  • Now press the halwa in any shape mould.
  • Sprinkle rest of the dry fruits and cool it.
  • Serve it.

Recipe notes

Tips

  • You can add milk powder instead of mava, it will make your halwa tastier.
