Ingredients for Bhindi Fry/Okra fry recipe
To make the Bhindi Fry/Okra fry
- 200 gm bhindi/okra
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon kashmiri chilli powder (for colour)
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- ½ teaspoon chaat masala powder
- 1/4 teaspoon hing (Asafetida)
- 2 tablespoon besan
- 2 tablespoon rice flour
- 8 to 10 curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- Few coriander leaves
Preparation of Bhindi fry/Okra fry recipe
To make the Bhindi fry/Okra fry
- Wash bhindi/okra thoroughly, dry them as much as possible, keep them in a kitchen towel for 30 min.
- After 30 min remove the sides and slice vertically into thin strips. If it is too long then cut bhindi horizontally into two parts.
- Place the sliced bhindi into a big mixing bowl.
- Sprinkle all the spices in it.
- Mix them well and add little water in it. It will be a little sticky but helps in adhering the masala paste on the vegetable.
- Take a frying pan and add oil to it.
- Heat it well. Then one by one fry the bhindi/okra in the pan on medium flame until bhindi becomes crispy and brown in color.
- Now take them out on a tissue paper so that the extra oil is soaked by the tissue paper.
- Now have it hot with tea or in the break time.
- Eat hot and fresh.
- Make sure the bhindi is dry before slicing it into pieces.
