Ingredients for Chicken 65 recipe
To make chicken 65
- 1 kg chicken joint (cut into small pieces)
- 1 large onion
- Medium size chunk of ginger
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- Salt as per taste
- Pepper as per taste
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon dry coriander powder
- 400 g curd
- 2 tablespoon water
- 8 tablespoon coconut oil
- 2 tablespoon tomato ketchup
- 1 green chilli finely chopped
- 4-5 curry leaves
Preparation Of Chicken 65 recipe
To make chicken 65
- In a food processor add onion, garlic, and ginger. Blend all the ingredients into a fine paste.
- Now add curd, red chilli powder, salt, cumin powder, coriander powder and pepper powder to the paste and stir it to form the marinade base.
- Place the chicken in the marinade base for 15 minutes.
- Take a pressure cooker with some water and lay the chicken. Put on the lid and pressure cook the chicken till the first whistle.
- While chicken is still in the pressure cooker, heat coconut oil in a wok.
- Finally, add the semi-cooked chicken to the wok and roast on high heat till it turns brown well.
- Now, remove and cook the chicken pieces in a separate pan without oil over low flame. This step will make the chicken more crispy.
- Add green chillies, curry leaves, and ketchup. Mix well till the chicken pieces are well coated and continue to cook over medium heat for 5-6 minutes.
- Serve the recipe in a bowl and garnish it with chopped spring onions.
- Always marinade the chicken for better flavour.
