Ingredients for Fattoush Salad recipe

To make the Fattoush Salad

  • 2 loaves pita bread
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon sumac
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 heart of romaine lettuce chopped
  • 1 English cucumber chopped
  • 5 Roma tomatoes chopped
  • Five green onions chopped
  • 5 radishes thinly sliced
  • 2 cups chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 cup chopped fresh mint leaves

Lime Vinaigrette

  • One and a half lime juice
  • 1  1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground sumac
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Scant ¼ teaspoon ground allspice

Preparation of Fattoush Salad recipe

To make the Fattoush Salad

  • Toast the pita bread in your oven until crispy. Heat 3tablespoonsn of olive oil in a large pan.
  • Break the pita bread into pieces and place it in the heated oil. Fry them until browned.
  • Then add salt, pepper and ½ teaspoon of sumac. Remove the pita chips and place it on a towel to drain.

  • Then take a large mixing bowl and mix all vegetables.

  • Now to make the lime vinaigrette, mix lime juice, olive oil and spices in a bowl.

  • Now mix the Salad with the lime vinaigrette and toss well.
  • Then add the pita chips in the salad bowl and toss them well.
  • Now transfer it to a serving bowl and eat it with fun.
