Harira (Hareera) (हरीरा) is a very healthy and delicious drink. It keeps the body warm during winters. Good for all and it is especially given to the new moms (after baby’s birth). Ingredients for Harira (Hareera) recipe

To make the Harira (Hareera)

  • Gud/ Jaggery 1 cup
  • Water 2 glasses
  • Laung 4 to 5
  • Elaichi 4
  • Jaiphal powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • Haldi powder 1 teaspoon
  • Saunth powder (dry ginger powder) 1 teaspoon
  • Ajwain 1 teaspoon
  • roughly chopped Almonds 10
  • Roughly chopped Kaju 10
  • Kishmish 15
  • Pista chopped 10
  • Khas khas 1 teaspoon
  • Ghee 1/2 tablespoon

Preparation Of Harira (Hareera) recipe

To make the Harira (Hareera)

  • First of all, soak gud in some water to dissolve.
  • Heat ghee and add ajwain, poppy seeds, haldi, laung, saunth powder and jaifal powder.
  • Saute for sometime and add all the chopped dry fruits.
  • Saute’ again till nice aroma comes.
  • Now add jaggery (gud) dissolved water.
  • Mix well and allow the mixture to boil completely.
  • Simmer the heat and cook covered for some time Hareera is ready.
  • Serve hot and enjoy winter fearlessly.
