Ingredients for Paneer Butter Masala Pizza recipe

To make the Paneer Butter Masala Pizza

  • 1 (16-ounce) package paneer cheese
  • ¼ cup plain yogurt
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • ½ teaspoons cumin seeds
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 4 tablespoons caramelized onions
  • 1/8 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 3-½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil, extra for drizzling
  • 1 cup ice water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornmeal
  • 1 (3-inch) chunk Parmesan cheese, freshly shaved
  • 1 pizza base

To make the Paneer Butter Masala Pizza

Paneer Butter Masala Pizza

  • Cut the paneer cheese into 1-inch cubes. Heat the canola oil in a pan. Add the cheese cubes and fry until it golden brown.
  • In a pan, add the grated ginger, cumin seeds and yogurt, stirring frequently. Pour into a blender, add the caramelized onions and mix until the sauce is smooth. Add the heavy cream.
  • In the pan, add the tomato paste, the sauce from the blender, turmeric powder and about 1-½ cups of water. Cover with a lid. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring often. Add tomato sauce and red chilli powder. Season with 1-½ teaspoons salt. Add the fried paneer. Lower the heat and cook for few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Spread paneer butter masala mixture on the pizza base and sprinkle it with parmesan cheese.
  • Bake the pizza in a microwave for 10-12 minutes. Serve it.
