Ingredients for Urad Dal Laddoo recipe

To make the Urad Dal Laddoo

  • Yellow urad dal/lentil  flour: 1/2 bowl
  • Wheat flour:  tbsp
  • Sugar powder: 2 tbsp
  • Clarified butter/ghee: 4 tbsp
  • Gond: 50 gms
  • Roughly chopped almonds: 2 tbsp
  • Roughly chopped cashew nuts: 2 tbsp
  • Raisins: 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder: 1/4 tsp

Preparation Of Urad Dal Laddoo recipe

To make the Urad Dal Laddoo

  • Heat clarified butter/ghee in a pan.
  • Fry the gond and strain it.
  • Heat clarified butter/ghee in the same pan.
  • Add yellow urad dal/lentil flour and roast on a medium flame for five minutes.
  • Add wheat flour and roast on a medium flame for ten minutes until brown in colour and gives out fragrance.
  • Once cooled, add sugar powder, gond, cardamom powder, raisins, almonds and cashew nuts and mix well.
  • Shape it in the form of laddoos.
  • Delicious laddoos are ready.

Recipe notes


  • One can adjust the quantity of sugar as per her requirement.
  • Always fry the gond on a medium flame otherwise they may remain raw.
